OXYMETHOLON10 is a synthetic androgen (androgen or anabolic steroid)
Used to treat low red blood cell counts (anemia). It works by increasing the amount of a hormone involved in red blood production (erythropoietin) in cells. Due to the risk of serious, potentially life-threatening side effects, this medication should not be used to improve athletic performance or appearance. Oxymetholone does not enhance athletic performance. When used as directed with medical supervision, the risk is minimal.

Contraindications
Diabetics - Oxymetholone may affect your blood sugar. Check your blood sugar Before adjusting your diabetes dose, keep an eye on your levels and ask your doctor about medications. Laboratory tests, including blood cholesterol and lipid levels, iron levels, urine and blood calcium levels, liver function tests, bone growth and development, and complete blood counts can be done to monitor your progress or check for side effects. Be sure to follow all doctor and lab appointments.
Oxymetholone is used with caution in older adults as they may be more sensitive to its effects, especially enlarged prostate and prostate cancer. Oxymetholone may affect certain laboratory tests, including

While taking oxymetholone: hives; difficulty breathing; swelling of your face, lips,
tongue, or throat.
Long-term use of oxymetholone can cause liver tumors or blood-filled cysts
Liver or spleen. Call your doctor right away if you have:
• Nausea, epigastric pain;
• Rapid weight gain, especially on your face and abdomen;
• Loss of appetite, dark urine, clay-colored stools; or
• Jaundice (yellowing of the skin or eyes).
Also call your doctor right away if you have:
• Painful or difficult urination;
• Increased interest in sex, penile pain, or persistent erection;
• Loss of interest in sex, impotence, difficulty in orgasm, decreased
• The amount of semen at the time of ejaculation;
easy bruising or bleeding (nosebleeds, bleeding gums), any bleeding
will not stop;
• Breast tenderness;
• a change in skin color; or
• Shortness of breath (even with mild exertion), swollen hands, or
foot.
Women receiving oxymetholone may develop male characteristics that may be irreversible if treatment is continued. Tell if you are a woman taking oxymetholone
Contact your doctor immediately if you have:
• a hoarse or low voice;
• Increased facial hair, chest hair growth;
• Male pattern baldness;
• Enlarged clitoris;
• Changes in the menstrual cycle; or
• Increased or decreased interest in sex.
Common side effects in both men and women may include:
• acne;
• Male pattern baldness;
• Breast swelling or tenderness (in men or women);
• Feeling restless or excited;
• Sleep problems (insomnia); or
• Nausea, vomiting, diarrhea.
